Abstract
Dorset-based school meals provider, Local Food Links, has announced the winners for its competition for pupils in its schools to design Christmas cards.

The competition, which is now in its fourth year, has children submitting entries showcasing an array of colourful and original designs.

Local Food Links works with 50 schools and serves 3,700 lunches a day with 47 member of staff.

The winner for Key Stage 1 was Tommy Kay, who is in Year 1 at Milldown CE Academy.

For Key Stage 2/3 Isla Davie, in Year 5 at Winsham Community Primary School won.

Tommy submitted a charming Santasaurus whilst Isla created an elegant sledge in the night sky design.

Chief executive, Caroline Morgan, said:
“The standard of entries this year has been higher than ever and choosing winners was tremendously difficult.

“Our ethos is that we work in partnership with our schools, rather than just supplying them with school meals.  We wouldn’t want to buy Christmas Cards when there is so much talent amongst pupils.  Recipients of our cards often let us know how much they have loved the designs.”
