Caterer Searcys expands Champagne brand with new site

4th Jan 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
Caterer Searcys has expanded its Champagne Bar brand with a new site situated in the heart of Paddington Station.
Champagne on offer includes cramant, demi sec, blanc de noir, blanc de blanc, and of course, prestige. British sparkling wine producers such as Balfour Brut Rosé will play a big part as well as key houses such as Perrier-Jouet and Lanson. Prices will range from £8.50 a glass up to £320 for a bottle of Dom Perignon 1990. For guests wanting to indulge, the venture will also offer a Balthazar of Laurent-Perrier Brut NV for £1,200. Meanwhile dishes are served on small plates, with a tapas style approach specifically designed to match with Champagne. These will include cured British meats from Trealy Farm, fine cheeses served with a Champagne jelly and daily seafood choices. Sharing boards will also feature on the menu and prices will range from £4 to £29. Designed by Interbar's managing director Billy Pither, the interior will consist of "luxurious" marbles, deep mahogany woods and will use fine glassware from glassblowers LSA. The Bar launched on Thursday 16th December, will be open from 10am-11pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-10:30pm Sunday, serving rail travellers and shoppers as well as being used as a destination bar for Londoners and tourists.
