Catering company Fuelling Minds strengthens team with new consultant appointments

Abstract
Independent, Cambridgeshire-based catering company Fuelling Minds, which operates contracts in the workplace, education and conference centres, has welcomed two new experienced and award-winning industry professionals as consultants to the business.

David Mulcahy joins as Consultant ESG Partnership Director, with responsibility for building meaningful relationships to support Fuelling Minds’ sustainability and social impact initiatives.

His responsibilities will include the company’s diverse sustainability programmes, including food waste initiatives, future chef training, and social impact projects.

The former director of food and sustainability for Sodexo UK & Ireland, David is currently vice president of the Craft Guild of Chefs, and runs its prestigious UK National & Young National Chef of the Year programmes.

He is also national chairman of Springboard’s Future Chef programme, as well as patron of University of West London (UWL) and Westminster Kingsway College.

He holds a Catey Award for services to foodservice, the Craft Guild of Chefs’ Order of Merit, and the Freedom of The City of London for services to the hospitality industry in 2018. Last year, he was honoured with The Chris Beaumont Award for services to hospitality.

Christine Bailey, meanwhile, has also joined the Fuelling Minds’ line-up of talent as nutrition and wellbeing consultant. A nutritionist, chef, and author has more than 25 years of experience in nutrition, health, fitness, and corporate wellbeing.

He responsibilities will include sharing her insight and knowledge with clients via webinars and wellness talks, as well as devising specialist menus focussing on bespoke nutrition for schools and the workplace.

Bailey has held director-level roles within the contract catering sector, leading the development of innovative, nutrient-rich food and education strategies for schools, universities, and workplaces throughout the UK and internationally.

The two-time Catey award winner (for Excellence in Nutrition and Catering) is a recognised expert in functional and performance nutrition. Her work combines clinical expertise with a passion for creating delicious, evidence-based menus that support long-term health and wellbeing. She is also a qualified teacher and the author of more than 14 nutrition and recipe books.
