
The mascot greeted children as they shopped with parents for back-to-school essentials, posing for photographs and handing out Caterlink goodies.
JoJoe also talked parents through sample menus to explain Caterlink’s commitment to using fresh and seasonal ingredients and ensuring all its meals are nutritionally balanced to meet or exceed the school meal standards.
Neil Fuller, Caterlink managing director, said: “We wanted JoJoe to come down and meet all of the children today and explain to parents the positive changes happening to their child’s school menus.
“Our chefs are passionate about serving food that is freshly prepared using local and regional produce and are really looking forward to introducing the children to new and exciting menus when they return to school.”
Caterlink, whose head office is near Wokingham, recently won the three-year contract to provide school meals to 51 of the borough’s primary schools and three secondary schools, pledging that prices will not increase.
The food service provider caters for more than 350 establishments including the nursery, primary and secondary schools of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Camden and Islington, MidKent College and the City of Westminster College.
