Abstract
Workplace catering specialist Catermasters has raised £10,000 for The Myton Hospices after inviting its clients and suppliers to take part in a charity golf day in Stratford-upon-Avon last week.

Catermasters has now raised in excess of £50,000 for The Myton Hospices since it hosted its first charity golf day in 2008.

As well as enjoying a battle on the golf course, 70 guests also supported various other fundraising initiatives on the day including an auction and a raffle. Prizes that were up for grabs included tickets to a Manchester United football match, cases of wine and champagne and a fine dining meal for six people that would be cooked in the winner’s own home by Catermasters’ chief development chef, Ryan Holmes.

Hannah Morris, The Myton Hospices corporate fundraising development manager, said: “This year, we need to raise over £7 million to ensure we can continue to provide our free of charge services to our patients and their loved ones. This wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of Catermasters, their clients and suppliers. They have all made it possible to raise such a fantastic amount again this year and we can’t thank them enough for their support.”

Nigel Johnson, joint managing director of Catermasters, added: “Our charity golf day is a real highlight of our year and brings together lots of generous and passionate people that all want to help a really good cause.

“We are all acutely aware how valuable a sum like £10,000 is to a charity like The Myton Hospices when it comes to meeting its annual fundraising targets and we’re thrilled that, with our kind–hearted clients and suppliers, we can help and hopefully make a difference at such a valuable local charity.”
