Abstract
C&C Catering Equipment Ltd has shared news about a recently completed scheme at LOROS Hospice where they provided a professional foodservice environment at cost.

The scheme provides new catering facilities across the main kitchen and servery counter areas of the hospice, with a strict hygiene protocol. The facility cares for over 2,500 people each year including terminally ill patients as well as their families and carers.

Due to close industry working relationships and the enormous generosity of several manufacturers, the team were able to provide significant discounts on equipment for the charity in a gesture of support.

These included C&C Catering Fabrications, Falcon, True, Meiko, Merrychef, EAIS, Mechline, and HMA Ventilation who provided specialist ventilation advice as well as the canopies and service spine, Savesta as main contractor, and David Bentley as the lead foodservice consultant and project coordinator.

Richard Hill, facilities & operations manager at LOROS, said: “We’re delighted with our new facilities at LOROS, and appreciate the goodwill of David Bentley, C&C, and the manufacturers in making this happen.

“C&C have shown professionalism and flexibility throughout the project, and have successfully adapted when needed to resolve any challenges that arose. The quality and specification of the equipment designed by David Bentley is fantastic, and we’ve been very pleased with the efficiency and support by all of those involved with the project.”
