22nd Jun 2012 - 00:00
Abstract
Contract caterer Elior UK has announced it is offering its employees the opportunity to study for an NVQ in Customer Service.
Elior is working with training partner Babcock to deliver the NVQ to over 250 qualifying Elior Service Champions. The NVQ will be open to all Elior's eXperience Service Champions - employees who have been chosen to ensure Elior's service standards are met. Michele Moore, head of people development at Elior UK, explained: "Our people are at the heart of our business. By giving them the opportunity to study for an NVQ, a national professional qualification, we're not only recognising their importance to the business but demonstrating our commitment to their personal development." Tim Hammond, chief executive of Elior UK, added: "Our aim is to make Elior the best place to work in the industry. We've already got the lowest staff turnover in the industry - 20% compared to an industry average of 40% - and the opportunity to study for the Customer Service NVQ will further equip our people with the tools to do a great job."
