Abstract
Filta Group, which provides fryer management, hygiene and other services to commercial kitchens, has appointed Brian Riordan as managing director of the company’s UK division.

He brings to Filta more than 25 years of experience in working across food services and facilities management, sales and marketing, retail and hotels.

Most recently he worked as divisional managing director at Aramark UK, a leading food and facilities services provider which caters for clients across multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, business, prisons, and leisure.

Prior to joining Aramark, he spent a number of years as an operations director at Compass Group, the largest contract food service company in the world.

Riordan has been recruited to lead the growth and development of the existing UK business of Filta and will oversee the roll out and expansion of its new partnership with NTH Solutions, a support services group wholly owned by North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust.

Filta is utilising NTH Solutions’ hypochlorous acid based broad-spectrum disinfectant, along with NHS accredited training, as part of the Filta Sanitation Service.

Riordan said: “I am thrilled to be joining Filta at such a critical time in the company’s growth story.

“With the hospitality sector moving towards a ‘new normal’ as a result of the pandemic, it is crucial for us to be suitably positioned to service our customer base through these times of continued uncertainty. Filta has already established an outstanding position in the UK, and I am excited to become part of the team.”

Jason Sayers, chief executive of Filta Group, said: “I am delighted to welcome Brian to Filta Group and look forward to working with him. He brings a wealth of commercial experience in not just food and facilities management but across the hospitality sector too, which will be of tremendous value to the Group.

“We have excellent products and services that are highly rated by our customers and have achieved good operational performance despite the global pandemic.

“We expect both our existing and potential new customers in the hospitality business to continue their return to normality and, as such, it is now time to ensure we have everything in place as we seek to continue growing our UK business and broadening our service offering.”
