Abstract
The Dartmouth Food Festival, now in its seventh year, kicks off on October 22 for two days and promises cookery demonstrations and discussions from ten 'world-class' chefs.
The event will feature marquees set up on the Embankment overlooking the River Dart with over 100 food stalls specialising in seafood in the Old market Square. A trio of chefs will begin proceedings on Thursday 21 October with Mitch Tonks, who runs Dartmouth's Seahorse Restaurant joining forces with Riverford's Jane Baxter and Fergus Henderson of London's St John Restaurant to kick start the event. Other celebrated chefs putting in an appearance include Henry Dimbleby, Michael Caines and Matt Tebbutt. David Jones, chairman of the Food Festival is delighted with the line-up saying: "Together they represent everything that's great about British cooking and we are honoured to welcome them all to the festival. Food is for everyone, not just a few. And it's important to us that all can enjoy and support the event."
