
The organisers of the competition say this year has been a true celebration of NHS chefs’ passion, creativity and skill. From exceptional dishes to inspiring teamwork, the chefs have once again raised the bar, showcasing the remarkable talent across the NHS. The eight finalists are:
- Joanne Downs and Karolina Morawiec – Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust (North View)
- Nedko Rusev and Scott Ferguson – Guy's and St Thomas' Trust
- Christoffer Dopico Alles and Angelika Purtak – Southampton Hospital
- Eddie Makuwaza and Antony Akhil – University Hospitals of Leicester
- Chloe Millis-Poole and Martin Spray – Sheffield Teaching Hospitals
- Ian Richards and Joe Omolo – Stepping Hill
- Caroline Byrne and Amanda Barber – Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust (Prestwich)
- Razwanah Ansari and Josephine Oboh – Harefield Hospitals
The finalists will now attend the Mentor & Development Event, where they will receive guidance, inspiration, and support on their journey to the Grand Final at The Cookery School at The Grand in York, from 20th–24th October 2025. This is a celebration of NHS catering in a truly world-class setting, offering learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities for all involved.
