Abstract
Food hygiene specialists DayMark UK is looking for chefs and kitchen workers to take part in its First Aid for All survey, launched this week.
DayMark is asking chefs and kitchen workers to tell them about the state of first aid provision in kitchens across the UK. The 'First Aid for All' campaign also aims to find out the most common minor accidents in commercial kitchens in the UK as well as the level of first aid equipment and training available to workers. Greg Fitchett, sales director for DayMark UK, said: "We're hoping this research will highlight some of the more common minor accidents in commercial kitchens, like cuts and burns, and emphasise the need for good first aid provision in every foodservice environment." To access the survey online visit @DayMarkUK on Twitter or search for DayMark UK on Facebook. Participants are also invited to share their kitchen first aid stories, with the best ones put into a prize draw to win a full DayMark First Aid Kit for their commercial kitchen.
