Dine Contract Catering team raise £8,000 for Duke of Edinburgh award
Abstract
Team members from Dine Contract Catering have raised almost £8,000 in the company’s latest fundraising efforts, which saw the team cycle and hike from company HQ in Warrington to the peak of Mount Snowdon.

The funds have been donated to the Duke of Edinburgh Award, a charity dedicated to supporting young people aged between 14 and 24. Dine Contract Catering is a long-time supporter of the charity and has raised nearly £30,000 for the charity in the last three years.

Managing director Ian Cartwright, said: “When we reached the base of Snowdon at the end of the first day of our journey, the thought of reaching the top almost seemed impossible.

“Knowing we were taking on this challenge for such a worthwhile cause kept us all going and the whole team should be proud of their efforts.

“The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a cause close to our hearts as a company, as helping to provide young people in the catering sector with the tools, knowledge and confidence they need to forge successful careers in the future is a core part of our ethos.”

All apprentices at Dine Contract Catering are offered the chance to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award, with many choosing to progress to the Gold Award.
