EJC returns to Public Sector Catering Expo

2nd Oct 2023 - 06:00
Exercise Joint Caterer (EJC), the flagship event for Armed Forces chefs and catering teams, will once again be taking place at the Public Sector Catering Expo.

The third Public Sector Catering Expo is on 31st October to 1st November at the NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. It will include an exhibition of over 100 suppliers as well as a lively speaker programme and informative cooking demonstrations.

And this is all running alongside the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the UK’s leading military catering event – Exercise Joint Caterer. The Expo is free-to-attend to those working within a public sector catering environment (

The EJC is a tri-service competition with a wide range of culinary classes that showcases the role military caterers play in the delivery of an effective Armed Force. The competition attracts hundreds of chefs from across the forces, many of whom will be competing and supporting their colleagues.

EJC is renowned in the industry for generating a vibrant and exciting energy that will ‘inspire’ visitors and exhibitors alike. It is a military competition with competitors selected by team leaders from each area of the Armed Forces.

The overall winner of each class will gain one point for their service and the service with the most points at the end of the competition will be crowned the Inter-Service Champions. When the competition took place in March 2022, the Navy were crowned as the overall winners.
