Abstract
In the week where the government announced a budget for the 'next generation', we found loads of great food facts.

The National Peanut Board estimates it takes about 540 peanuts to make a 12-ounce jar of peanut butter. That's approximately 45 peanuts per ounce of peanut butter. If your family buys peanut butter in those large 40-ounce mega-jars, each one of those jars takes a whopping1,800 peanuts to make!

The slogan ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’, voted the top advertising slogan of all time, was created by a drunk. Ok, it’s not fair to label him drunk but Maurice Drake confessed to writing it “over two pints of beer in The Victoria pub in Mornington Crescent”.

There are approximately 465 beans in every standard 415gm can of Heinz beans.

Kit Kat dropped its famous red wrapping for blue wrapping for five years during WWII. Because of the shortage of milk Rowntree’s switched from milk chocolate to dark chocolate and changed the colour of the wrapping to signify the change.

Pregnant women should eat bacon. Choline, which is found in bacon, helps fetal brain development
