  • The smoothness in chocolate often comes from an emulsifier derived from castor beans, which also happen to contain one of the most toxic natural substances – ricin, which can kill even in incredibly small doses.
  • On average we consume 250g of insects or bugs every year that are caught up in the food production process, in particular foods such as chocolate and bread are affected.
  • The Durian fruit is the world’s smelliest fruit and in parts of Asia is banned from hotel and buses.
  • In Seattle throwing away food in the bin is illegal and you might be fined.
  • In Israel they get rid of pests in a unique way by eating them. A meal called Kosher is deep fried locusts covered in chocolate.
