Abstract
Kudos, part of the Crown Group, has appointed two senior members of staff at the National Football Museum, as part of its six-year multimillion pound catering contract.

The company has employed Franco Caroleo (general manager) and Paul Riley (executive head chef pictured left) to further strengthen the team that will manage the venue’s distinctive cafe services, large events and banqueting portfolio, and launch its new restaurant; Kaleido.

Caroleo will be responsible for the overall management of the food, drink and events offer at the museum, including the cafe that seats 150 people, the events space with formal dining for 250 and receptions for 500, and the fifth floor restaurant and bar Kaleido, that can accommodate 80 guests.

Leading a team of 12 chefs, a senior sous chef and a pastry chef, Riley will bring his specialist modern British cooking with a focus on provenance to the Kudos kitchen.

Jon Pryce, managing director, Kudos, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Franco and Paul to the National Football Museum.

“These two very talented individuals brought a wealth of experience ahead of the recent launch, and will now help us offer food and event services of a quality that is expected at such a iconic and unique venue.”

Michele Somers, head of commercial development at the National Football Museum, added: “We are thrilled that this talented and experienced team are running the café, restaurant and events space.  We are confident that this will help us deliver the highest quality experience for all our visitors.”
