Abstract
Mitie has secured a contract worth up to £68.5 million with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) to provide essential integrated facilities management (IFM) and catering services.

The contract is initially for five years, with the option to extend for a further two years and consists of an IFM contract worth £34.5m with a further £34m of project-based work expected to be completed within the same time period.

This partnership will see Mitie deliver services across the CLCH’s 290 sites in 14 London boroughs as well as in Hertfordshire. The range of services includes catering, cleaning, pest control, help desk support and estate management.

Approximately 150 employees will transfer to Mitie via TUPE with a one-team ethos to work collaboratively with the Trust to deliver essential FM and catering services as well as working together to achieve shared sustainability and social value goals.

Mike Gibson, managing director of local government, education and healthcare at Mitie, said: “We’re proud to be working with CLCH to deliver facilities management and catering services that make a real difference to staff, patients, and visitors across London and Hertfordshire.

“Our teams will be supporting NHS services by keeping clinics and community centres clean and safe, to providing nutritious meals and ensuring buildings run smoothly, so frontline NHS staff can focus on patient care.

“We’re also committed to making a positive impact beyond day-to-day operations, from introducing electric vehicles and sustainable cleaning products to supporting local communities by creating jobs in the community and providing work experience placements.”
