Abstract
The National Association of Care Catering has raised £6,000 through its charity Skydive.

Five members of the organisation conquered the skies and leapts 10,000 ft from an aeroplane to raise over £6,000 for The Food Chain and Alzheimer’s Society.

The skydive team featured Neal Radia, national chair of NACC; Preston Walker, director/owner of Oak House Residential Home; Oliver Smith, head chef at Hadrian Healthcare’s Wetherby Manor and NACC Care Cook of the Year 2015; Billy Moore, manager director of McCullough Moore; and Sophie Murray, deputy chair of NACC.

Radia said: “The NACC skydive was an incredible experience and quite indescribable. We’re so proud to have raised such a great sum for the Food Chain and Alzheimer’s Society, whose work, like that of the NACC’s, is dedicated to improving the life quality of the vulnerable and elderly.

“I can’t lie, the skydive is one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever done, but it was worth it and I’m glad to have completed it alongside good NACC friends and colleagues.”

Donations to support the effort of the NACC skydiving team and raise more valuable funds for The Food Chain and Alzheimer’s Society can still be made here.
