Natasha Allergy Research Foundation marks 4th anniversary of Natasha’s Law
Abstract
On 1st October 2025, The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation will be marking four years since Natasha’s Law came into force by encouraging people to take on a 14 for 14 challenge.

Natasha's Law requires food businesses to include full ingredients labelling on pre-packaged foods to protect allergy sufferers and to give them ‘confidence’ in the food they buy. In 2016 Natasha Ednan-Laperouse passed away after suffering an allergic reaction to a Pret a Manger baguette.

In the UK an estimated 7% of children suffer from a food allergy. While some reactions can be treated, some can be more severe or even fatal.

A spokesperson for the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation said: “We mark four years since Natasha’s Law came into force - a milestone worth celebrating to protect people with food allergies and also a reminder of why our work is far from over.

“Inspired by Matt and Sarah Bacon, whose daughter Savannah lives with multiple severe allergies, the 14 for 14 Challenge is your chance to make a difference and have fun while you're doing it.”

Take on your 14 for 14 challenge on Natasha’s Day (1st October) or anytime during the week of 29th Sept – 5th Oct. Examples include:

  • Walk 14,000 steps a day
  • Read 14 chapters
  • Sing 14 songs
  • Cycle 14 miles or minutes
  • Swim 14 lengths
