Visit Cost Sector Catering’s website and you will see not only a brighter, different look but easier navigation and a host of new added features
First launched in 2007, the Cost Sector website has steadily grown in popularity year-on-year, bringing in more visitors, adding new sections and developing RSS feeds and regular newsletter updates. But we decided it needed a redesign that would allow us to take into account comments from you and analysis of visitor behaviour. The resulting new-look website is now live. First impressions The homepage summarises the most up-to-date information, whether that’s breaking news, consumer trends, research or live visitor polls. A rolling ‘website highlights’ box displays the latest news and features, and with the added rewind, pause and forward buttons you can view the stories at a pace to suit you. Many of you like to interact with stories we publish. Using our ‘most commented and most read’ feature, you’ll now be able to keep track of the news stories making an impact. With links to social media websites such as Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn, you’ll also be able to share interesting news and views with colleagues and friends. A live visitor poll gauges industry opinion on the headline issues, everything from legislation to the economy to eating habits. Once your answer is in you can click on the results tab and instantly see how other people voted. Catch up with the latest issue of Cost Sector Catering in our magazine archive, where you can search the publication, download it as a PDF, print it or choose pages to share with others. There are no registration barriers, ensuring you get full access to explore Cost Sector’s monthly edition. The user-friendly navigation on the homepage provides quick links to email newsletter registration, our staff contact details, diary dates and useful links to trade bodies and associations. Other site highlights include an In-Depth area provides unparalleled insight and opinion pieces and a products section focusing on product launches, brand developments and advice on what to look out for when buying catering equipment. Product news can be filtered by food, drink and equipment making it easier to find something specific. Handy contact details for industry suppliers feature with each product story, meaning no time-consuming Google search for phone numbers and web addresses.
