PSC Expo to emphasize importance of working together to feed a healthy nation
Abstract
The Public Sector Catering Expo, which is sponsored by Hobart Service, is a unique event that brings together buyers, decision makers and influencers from across the entire industry who help to feed the nation healthy, sustainable and nutritious food.

This year’s Public Sector Catering Expo is taking place at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire on the 18-19th November 2025.

Leading experts and commentators from across the sector will discuss the key issues and topics facing public sector caterers in a series of free to attend speakers sessions and cooking demonstration which are open to everyone and will run throughout the two-day event.

The PSC Expo, which is free to attend, is the only national event to bring together chefs and caterers from across all areas of the public sector – from schools, hospitals, universities, catering colleges, the social care sector, prisons and the military.

Keynote speaker Gareth Wyn Jones will explore British farming and public sector by investigating both the challenges and the opportunities. The Government has made a pledge to make sure at least 50% of the food supplied to schools and hospitals is British.

A State of the Nation panel discussion will take place on day one of the Public Sector Catering Expo to highlight common topics and issues facing caterers across the public sector.

The Public Sector Catering Kitchen will feature cookery demonstrations from current LACA School Chef of the Year (SCOTY) Erin Ward, 2024 NHS Chef of the year winners Manuela Miccoli and Alejandro Hernandez as well as 2025 NACC Care Chef of the Year winner Ilona Tomza.

These demonstrations will all take place on day two of the PSC Expo and will be hosted by Hairy Biker Si King. During each demonstration Si King will talk to each of them about their role in helping to feed the nation. There will be a lively exhibition of more than 100 suppliers including headline sponsor Hobart Service who will be on stand number 90.

The PSC Expo, which is the fourth edition of the event, includes a central exhibition area where you can meet with the key associations representing the public sector catering industry. The Expo is supported by key industry associations including LACA, NACC, HCA, TUCO, Assist FM and PACE.

Find out more about the work they do across the sector and the benefits of working with them and hear about their joint initiatives in areas such as allergens, meat reduction, sustainability and more.

Exercise Joint Caterer will once again take place at the PSC Expo, the flagship event for Armed Forces chefs and catering teams. It is a showcase of skills and challenges chefs at the highest level, demonstrating the role military caterers play in the delivery of an effective armed force.

Those working in a public sector catering environment are able to register for free to attend.
