Abstract
Record levels of entries have been announced for this year’s Health & Vitality Honours.

The Honours is the UK’s only scheme recognising the foodservice sector’s contribution to the overall health and nutritional wellbeing of the nation.

After the first round of judging, the companies achieving a place in the Roll of Honour are:

CH&CO
Compass (ESS)
Dine
Elior
Lexington
Nestle UK & Ireland
OCS
Partners in Purchasing
Premier Foods
Pret A Manger Sodexo
The Cheese Warehouse

Speaking about the Roll of Honour announcement Amanda Ursell, Health & Vitality Honours Ambassador and judge said: “As the Ambassador of the Health & Vitality Honours, I am hugely proud to be involved in an industry that is making huge changes. This year’s entries to the Health & Vitality Honours, both in qualitative and quantitative terms, reflect that the agenda is progressing at an ever greater pace and we look forward to building on this year on year.”

Companies in the Roll of Honour will be subject to strict criteria, including the wider societal impact of their health and wellbeing programmes, the ways in which initiatives are being shared across the industry as best practice for all and the ways in which they have, or plan to, continue to improve year-on-year.

Speaking about this year’s nomination Nick Fenwick-Clennell, CEO of Footprint, said it was ‘high time’ the foodservice sector got the ‘recognition it deserved’.
