Research finds Brits drink 165 million cups of tea every day
Abstract
Brits drink 165 million cups of tea per day compared to 95 million cups of coffee, according research from the National Tea Day.

The survey found that tea consumption is on the rise, especially amongst 24-35-year-olds (50% growth). The largest growth according to this survey was amongst females with 69%.

Marco Geraghty, head of research at National Tea Day said the ‘tea revolution’ was due to the changes in perception amongst the younger generations. Tea has moved from a ‘morning drink’ to a drink that is consumed throughout the day.

The National Tea Day survey also highlighted an 80% increase in health and wellness teas. This is due to consumers being more health conscious.

National Tea Day is taking place 21 April 2020. For more information, tips and events, visit: https://www.nationalteaday.co.uk/
