8th Jun 2012 - 00:00
Abstract
Lucky students dining in Cucina school restaurants will have the chance to win Olympic tickets alongside other substantial prizes in a summer festival of sport about to get under way in all 37 of the company's school and academy restaurants.
Director Sam Davies said: "We have exercised our credit card and bought loads of prizes to distribute during our sports-themed summer events. "The Olympic tickets for football matches at Old Trafford. Our Star Prizes also include Sony PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS and designer messenger bags." Other prizes to be won during the Euro 2012, WImbledon and Olympics themed events are Union Jack pens, pencils, water bottles, glasses, watches, face paint, umbrellas, hats, bags, inflatable torches and medals. Euro 2012 kicks off Cucina's festivities, with football-themed main meal choices and instant prizes for winning stickers craftily placed under plates. Added Davies said: "Each time a prize is won, the executive chef blows a whistle. The star Euro prize at each of our restaurants will be an official Adidas Tango 12 match ball. "While it is more expensive for us to offer a star prize at each school, we hold the view that students will want to know who the big winners are." On June 25th the theme will switch to Wimbledon with tennis-themed fare offered alongside the usual range of lunchtime meal choices. After that the Olympics take over, with restaurant menus themed around different competing countries and many more prizes to be won.
