School Food Matters nominated for Charity Film Award
Abstract
School Food Matters has been nominated for a Charity Film Award for their Schools to Market film.

School Food Matters is on a mission to ensure every child has a sustainable school meal and that children are aware of the origins of their food.

Since 2007 School Food Matters has been developing education programmes across London and beyond.

The Schools to Market film explores the partnership with Whole Kids Foundation which brings together children from local schools to experience cooking with fresh fruit and vegetables that they picked from British farms.

By selling homemade chutneys and sauces at Whole Foods Market children can develop their enterprise skills and raise funds for food education programmes at their school.

A £50 donation to School Food Matters can cover the cost of delivering a whole school assembly about sustainable food and £100 enables a chef to visit a school to cook with 15 children.
