Abstract
Schools across the UK will be celebrating the ninth International School Meals Day (ISMD) on 11 March 2021.
ISMD aims to encourage children and young people from around the world to connect and talk about the food they eat and the role it plays in their lives.
The theme for ISMD 2021 is ‘Eat for the health of it’ exploring the links between food & nutrition and children’s physical & mental health.
Schools can get involved in ISMD by creating a international menu day, running fun food activities or by holding fundraising activities to support school feeding programmes in developing countries.
On ISMD LACA chair Stephen Forster will join Public Sector Catering to investigate whether hot school meals should become a compulsory service during a webinar.
