Scottish ambassador becomes food & hospitality consultant

Abstract
Scotland's ambassador for natural larder and Highland hospitality is broadening her portfolio to become a food and hospitality consultant.
Dr. Claire Macdonald will offer her extensive experience as an award-winning cook, food writer and owner of Kinloch Lodge Hotel, on the Isle of Skye. She will be available to help government agencies within areas such as school and college nutrition, organisations and individuals to expand and enhance their knowledge of the hospitality and food industry. Highlights of her career include winning an honorary doctorate from the University of Abertay Dundee, for services to food in Scotland and also received a special Lifetime Achievement Award by the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland. Macdonald is Patron of Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight and of the Scottish Farmers' Markets. She has run her home Kinloch Lodge as a hotel for 36 years.
