Abstract
British caterer Searcys has been appointed as the new catering partner for Stationers’ Hall in a five-year agreement.

Located by St Paul’s Cathedral, Stationers’ Hall is one of the few ancient Livery Halls remaining in the City of London. Rebuilt after the Great Fire of London in 1673, the Grade I-listed building is currently undergoing a £7.5 million refurbishment and will reopen its doors in July 2022.

Event spaces include a set of interlinking rooms including the Main Hall with carved oak panelling dating back to the 1600s. Guests can also enjoy the garden – a rare feature in the centre of the City – that can be hired for weddings, receptions and parties.

Peter Martin, Searcys account director for Stationers’ Hall, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by the Stationers Company to open the Hall after its extensive refurbishment. It is a fantastic opportunity to mark our double anniversaries – 350th and 175th – and we are looking forward to welcoming our first guests in the summer.”

Menus will showcase the best of seasonal produce from the British Isles with a variety of packages running from breakfast to fine-dining experiences.

Giles Fagan, clerk of the Stationers’ Company, added: “We are very pleased to be partnering with Searcys, whose heritage, high quality of food and service fits in perfectly with our vision. It is a fantastic time and opportunity to establish a new catering team and create excitement around our new event space for the future.”
