Abstract
School-approved drinks brand SUSO has partnered with bullying prevention charity Kidscape to deliver its ZAP in Schools Assertiveness and Resilience workshops at The Place Independent School in Bottesford, Nottinghamshire.

ZAP equips children and young people with the skills they need to recognise and positively respond to bullying behaviour.

SUSO, which counts as one of your five a day and contains no added sugar, artificial additives or preservatives, is available in five flavours - mango & passionfruit; apple & elderflower; forest fruits; orange and mandarin; and lemon & lime.

Ashley Rolfe, head of programmes, training and volunteering at Kidscape, said: “We're thrilled to be partnering with SUSO. We believe that every child has the right to live a life free from bullying and harm. By working together we can support more young people and actively encourage a culture of kindness and care.”

SUSO established the partnership with Kidscape after it was revealed that over 16,000 children are absent from school at any one time due to bullying. Statistics from The Department for Education reveal that one in every four children are bullied in school, this equates to seven children in every class.

Nelly Edwards, commercial manager at SUSO, added: “These young people need our support which is why we have partnered with leading bullying prevention charity, Kidscape, as it helps children, families and practitioners by providing advice, training and practical tools to prevent bullying.

“SUSO is all about standing up and tackling issues that affect our consumers; school children and young adults. Our nutritious drinks are stocked by schools, and it is important we support them and their students with the challenges facing young people such as bullying.”
