Abstract
The University of Portsmouth has launched the ‘Have Dinner on Us’ initiative to provide free hot meals to students during the exam period, it was reported by BBC News.
Students will be able to have a free meal every Monday and Tuesday between 5-6pm until 25th June as long as they book their place in advance.
The initiative aims to help support students through their end of year exams. The food will be made by hospitality apprentices from Havant and South Downs College.
Prof Stephen Corbett, executive dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, said: "We all know how hard exams can be, and this, coupled with the additional burden of the cost of living, we were keen to continue to provide extra support to our students at this busy, stressful and important time of year."
