Abstract
With indoor events cancelled for much of 2020 and into 2021 the UK's leading vegan events company VegfestUK has come up with what it believes is a ‘practical and cost-effective’ solution for consumers and business-to-business operators looking to buy and sell the latest vegan products.

Vegan traders, the natural products retail trade, caterers, hospitality operators and journalists interested in keeping up with the rapidly developing and constantly evolving plant-based market can now join VegfestUK Summerfest Online on Friday, August 14th from 10am to 8pm.

A number of leading brands are exhibiting, including Bute Island Foods, makers of the famed Scheese range of vegan cheeses, Nairn's Oatcakes, purveyors of Scottish oatcakes since 1896, plus new vegan brands such as Better Nature, providing an outstanding range of tempeh and Vegums with a recently launched omega 3 multivitamin.

Other leading independent vegan food brands including Pasta Italia, Olivado & Vegan Sweet Tooth will also feature.

The opportunity to develop VegfestUK Summerfest Online is a ‘challenge’ says Tim Barford, who has been organising the UK's biggest vegan events for two decades, including the first Vegan Trade Show at Olympia in 2017.

He says: "As an events company Covid-19 has hit VegfestUK hard - like so many other businesses. The cancellation of our event at Olympia has given us a considerable challenge to overcome.

“There are some drawbacks to the online option of course however the benefits are beginning to come into their own, not least the opportunity for the Trade and Media Day.”
