The wait for kitchen equipment has damaging effect on over 40% of chefs’ busines
Abstract
Electrolux Professional has enhanced its delivery service in response to its survey that found that the wait for kitchen equipment has a damaging effect on over 40% of chefs’ businesses.

The service equipment manufacturer is offering its customers an updated delivery service to obtain new commercial kitchen equipment just 24 hours after ordering.

The company has pledged to minimise downtime for kitchen staff with its 24 to the door offer, following its recent survey.

Darren Lockley, head of region for UK & Ireland at Electrolux Professional, said: “Commercial catering equipment downtime has the potential to cripple a kitchen team during a busy service, so we have taken it upon ourselves to ensure the delivery of a variety of kitchen equipment right to our customers’ door, just 24 hours after we have received their order from our distributor network.

“Our recent industry survey examining the state of the catering equipment replacement market found dynamic preparation, refrigeration, and dishwashing equipment to be amongst the most commonly replaced equipment over the last 12 months.

“As such we have decided to focus our ‘24 to the door’ initiative around these key equipment areas in order to reassure our food service customers that if an emergency does occur, Electrolux Professional will be at hand to provide a fast replacement and keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.”

Orders must be received before 11am to qualify for 24 hour delivery times.
