Wilson Vale starts partnership with Natasha Allergy Research Foundation
Abstract
B Corp contract caterer Wilson Vale, which manages food services for independent education, workplace restaurants and conference centres, has entered into a three-year partnership with the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation to help the charity to #MakeAllergyHistory.

The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation was founded in 2019 by Tanya and Nadim Ednan-Laperouse after their daughter Natasha died aged 15 from a severe allergic reaction to sesame.

Through campaigning, education and research, the charity’s mission is to #MakeAllergyHistory and improve the lives of the millions of people in the UK with food allergies. The couple have both been awarded OBEs for their work around food allergy.

Melissa Wallbank, managing director of Wilson Vale, said: “Food should be something everyone can enjoy with confidence. As a food service company, we have a deep responsibility to create safe, inclusive dining experiences for all.

“By partnering with The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, we’re helping to advance vital research and awareness that can truly make a difference, supporting the Foundation’s ambition to make allergy history.”

Natasha’s Foundation is one of the only allergy charities dedicated to medical research. It wants to understand what is causing the dramatic rise in allergic disease - and develop ways to prevent, treat and ultimately eradicate it, creating a world that is safe for everyone.

Tanya Ednan-Laperouse OBE added: “Allergies have surged dramatically in the last 30 years, making it more important than ever to uncover the causes behind this global challenge.

“With millions affected by food allergies, including one in 13 schoolchildren, the need for action is clear. We’re thrilled that Wilson Vale is standing with us to #MakeAllergyHistory. Together, we’re raising awareness and funding research that brings hope for lasting change.”
