Apetito unveils new seasonal dishes ahead of spring & summer

Healthcare meals provider, Apetito has refreshed its extensive range of meals with some new dishes to enhance patient menus for the warmer months.

Within its core multiportion range, the meal provider has introduced new Jumbo Salmon Fingers, made with wild salmon. Apetito says this is a great way to get oily fish onto the menu, as this versatile dish can be served up in sandwiches, wraps or with potatoes for a balanced and satisfying option.

The new range also sees the introduction of a Katsu Curry Sauce, pairing with breaded chicken and enabling customers to improve their everyday dishes. Apetito’s new Mushy Peas are made with selected AA-grade peas to deliver a vibrant flavour - the perfect accompaniment to many meals.

The company is also introducing more desserts. Its new Apricot Crumble is made with 50% fruit filling and topped with a oat crumble topping, making it a healthier choice, whilst still packed with flavour.

The new plant-based Coconut Rice Pudding is made without the 14 major allergens, whilst Gluten Free Vanilla Sponge is ‘light, soft and comforting’. Both dishes have been designed so they can be customised with a wide range of toppings to suit all tastes.

Apetito has also expanded its plated CarteChoix range for hospitals. Following customer feedback received at its 25-year celebration event, the meal provider has worked to develop a new Salmon & Broccoli Pasta for hospital menus. Alongside this is a Cottage Pie, packed full of meat and pulses to deliver a favourite dish that supports more sustainable eating.
