Abstract
Water filter manufacturer BRITA Professional has developed Building Information Modelling (BIM) 3D models, which is available to download from online resource CESABIM.

Miles Dawson, sales director, BRITA Professional, said: “Water filtration is a vital part of a professional kitchen as it protects key equipment such as combi ovens and beverage machines from the damaging build up of scale.

“Being BIM compliant means consultants can make sure everything fits into the space available in conjunction with M&E requirements. And that it meets project budgets.”

BRITA Professional’s 3D models and data can be downloaded as an IFC file, which is an ISO international open standard, meaning it is compatible for use on a consultants own BIM software platform.

CESABIM, the UK's Foodservice BIM database, has been developed by CESA, the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association, in partnership with BIM specialists Schematic Ltd.
