Abstract
Meiko has introduced the new M-Clean HXL Double Basket dishwasher, popular with schools because it comfortably handles mixed loads of crockery, cutlery, glassware as well as pots, pans and trays.

“Every now and then something happens which makes you think...why didn’t we think of that before,” says Meiko UK MD Paul Anderson.

“We took a step back to view the whole dishwashing process, rather than focusing just on the next machine.

This range of machines offers shorter wash cycles, a better indoor climate and outstanding washing and drying performance as well as being fitted with an ergonomic auto-lift hood.

HXL – KEY features:

  • Automatic rack detection
  • GiO reverse osmosis water treatment; for sparkling, spot free results every time
  • Touch colour display; hygienic safety glass with program progress indicator and Bluetooth interface; mounted on the left or right of hood or elsewhere in the wash area to suit operators
  • Stainless steel piping instead of plastic hoses; ensures longevity
  • Patented drying table; no waiting around: even faster drying, plus cool-to-the-touch washware
  • Blue operating concept; components that need checking after the self-clean cycle are blue in colour
  • M-Clean filter-active filter system for removal of food debris from wash tank (includes monitoring of correct positioning and function)
  • 12.6 % energy savings* thanks to wastewater heat recovery
  • 14.4 % energy savings* and up to 80 % lower steam emissions with MEIKO AirConcept.
