Abstract
Mission Foods UK has expanded its vegan range with the launch of mini vegan naan breads that are suitable for any plant-based menu.

According to Mintel research the meat-free market is estimated to be worth £1.1Bn by 2024. Mission Foodservice believes caterers should expand their vegan ranges as people are looking to reduce their red meat consumption.

Research from kantar Worldpanel found that non-vegans consume 93% of plant-based dishes.  The new mini vegan naan breads are currently available in two flavour variants- plain and garlic & coriander.

Kim Hartley, executive business development chef at Mission Foods, said: “To provide fresh and exciting plant-based menus, operators need to have access to a versatile range of products and ingredients to provide consumers with a selection of options to choose from.

“Our authentically baked mini naan breads, suit a range of options from main evening meal to lunchtime snacking and on-the-go options. Not only that, because they taste so good, you can have one naan on your menu and satisfy the dietary needs of everyone at the table – as well as being confident they taste great too!”
