Abstract
Food-to-go brand URBAN Eat has launched a selection of snack pots and boxes, to capitalise on the ‘growing demand’ for healthy options while on the move.

With health and wellness an increasing priority for consumers, the foodservice company hopes the new products will increase sales as 94% of Brits admit to snacking daily.

Hitting the market 20 August, new pots and boxes include fruit pots; an apple, grape and cheese snack box; and an apple, grape, Dairylea and mini cheddars box.

Isla Owen, head of brand at Adelie Foods, commented: “Food-to-go is appealing to a wider audience than ever before and is expected to have a value of £20.7bn in 2018, while choosing healthier products is increasingly a consideration for shoppers.

“Research has also found that we are starting to squeeze an extra meal into our day, adapting our eating schedule to match our busy lives.

“The fruit and snack pots will be very popular – meeting the needs of those looking for lighter snacking options. The fruit and cheese snack boxes will also be a great healthy option for rushed parents on the move looking for something healthy to feed their kids.”
