Pritchitts cappuccino milk proves a hit with caterers and consumers

19th Aug 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
The Pritchitts cappuccino milk product is going down a storm with the team at Willow Catering and its customers. We take a look at the product in more detail.
Willow Catering is reaping the benefits of using the cappuccino milk, especially at the recent Liverpool International Tennis tournament which attracted more than 15,000 fans to the city's Calderstones Park. Willow Catering's Jan Smith, who was busy serving up foamy lattes and cappuccinos, says: "Cappuccino Milk has a really nice flavour, I tried it myself at the start to see the difference – it was nice, very creamy and tasted like full-fat milk, even though it's less than 1% fat, which is a real plus for health-conscious customers. "It frothed really well, was extremely consistent, which is crucial when you're an event caterer, and kept its head – we had lots of happy customers. "People are much more focused on health these days so offering something like Cappuccino Milk is good for sales. The mobile unit can get very busy so catering for every taste is important." One big advantage for caterers is that the cappuccino milk can be used from ambient – making it ideal for outdoor events. ''It's often not an option to have lots of on-site refrigeration. "A milk like Cappuccino Milk that doesn't need to be chilled before use is a real advantage for us. Another plus point is that there is much less wastage with ambient milk." One satisfied coffee drinker, Pam Percy, said: "I drink coffee all the time and usually go to John Lewis cafes or Costa but this was nice. I'd definitely have it again. Usually when you have a coffee from outside units, it's not great, but you can really taste the difference. It's definitely better than any coffee I've had at an outside event." Willow Catering caters for all sizes of event and offers anything from a food court to a single static unit and has a state-of-the-art mobile fleet. It has grown from two vans at the start to a national company operating 40 mobile catering units today. Founded by managing director, Phil Brown, it has grown to cater for football clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United, concerts by U2, Kings of Leon and Bruce Springsteen and even auditions for TV shows such as X-Factor and Britain's Got Talent. The product also enables caterers to serve frothy speciality coffees, without compromising the quality, even though it has a fat content lower than semi-skimmed milk. It tastes just like fresh milk, can be re-foamed eliminating waste, and can be used in any hot beverage, including tea and hot chocolate.
