Abstract
ISS Facility Services Food & Hospitality has won the staff dining contract at London City Airport (LCY) where it will serve freshly prepared, quick meals in the Hangar restaurant for people working both landside and airside.

London City Airport is the UK's leading business airport serving over 40 destinations across the UK, Europe and the USA from within London’s Docklands.

Andy Chappell, Managing Director ISS FS Food & Hospitality, said that from the initial brief onwards, ISS had developed a personalised dining solution to meet the exact needs of the airport and its staff for fresh and fast food.

"The ISS Food & Hospitality team at LCY understands the pressures that airport staff are under to deliver a fantastic passenger experience and so has aligned its own offering to support this.

“Developing and designing exciting bespoke dining to fit the needs of both airside and landside employees was a great challenge. London City Airport has a real buzz to it and is focused on giving travellers a first class experience.

"The people who work there are committed to this and so we have created a dining solution that offers fresh food based around our grill bar concept to guarantee quick, quality meals.”

Darren Grover, chief operating officer at London City Airport said: “We are delighted to welcome ISS to LCY. ISS have created a welcoming and trendy staff restaurant and their menu selection provides the entire airport team with a choice of freshly prepared meals.”

To support the working patterns and timetables of employees who serve flights throughout the day, the Hangar restaurant is open 73 hours a week.
