Abstract
The Commercial Kitchen Show, which runs from September 14-15 at ExCeL, is hosting a panel debate into some of the significant challenges facing the public sector.

It is to be chaired by Phil Shelley, senior operations and policy manager with the NHS and will include Matthew White, chair of the PSC100 Group and former chair of The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO), Linda Cregan, foodservice director for ISS, and Louise Wagstaffe, development chef and director of Delicious By Design

Setting the scene for the discussion, show organisers say: “More than ever, we are watching food programmes to inspire, challenge and entertain us. Even with such a high profile on our food and catering industry, there continues to be a shortage of recruitment and retention, particularly in the public sector.

“Having such a distinguished panel, will help us understand what initiatives are taking place to attract and motivate our chefs and help to explain what foods and equipment are changing our menu styles to ensure that we shape a modern environment within our public sector kitchens.”

The debate takes place at 2.45pm on September 15th at Kerynote Theatre 2 at the event.
