The Trust has awarded The King's School £5,000 to further the improvements they have already made.

By the time the new contract starts in September 2009, Bryanston School will be using a new environmentally friendly food disposal system which incorporates the De-waterer and Bionova systems.

The Greenock Telegraph described how the move will benefit more than 600 pupils and their families in September.

The competition will split children in two age categories and encourage them to design their own pack for their favourite Viva milk drink.

The event, held at The Waldorf in London and run by Springboard UK for The Savoy Society, was designed to select and match students with a mentor sourced from the prestigious Savoy Society.

The groups have urged the Committee of Advertising Practice to change its code of practice so that all children are not exposed junk food advertising.

Of those pupils present on the survey day, just over 45% took a meal supplied by the school, compared to just over 47% in 2008.

Schools and children's centres across Derbyshire have received funding, with grants of up to a maximum of £10,000 available.
