Abstract
Flypay, a payment app used within the hospitality industry, has announced that its payment solutions have met the latest security standards.

The latest Level 1 PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) has accredited Flypay’s pay at table, bar tabs, order ahead and order at table payment methods which enable customers to pay for or add to their meal using their phones.

Tom Weaver, Flypay chief executive, said the accreditation confirms that the app complies with the ‘most stringent rules’ put forth by the payment card industry.

“We are proud to have enhanced the PCI DSS compliance validation for our payment solutions. Trust is critical in enabling digital commerce across the hospitality industry, for both the consumer and the operator,” said Weaver.

Flypay’s payment solutions has also been independently validated by Coalfire, a leading provider of independent, comprehensive cybersecurity advisory services.

Weaver added: “By working with Coalfire to further exceed standards in PCI DSS, we are showing a vested interest in our customers, by establishing our commitment to protecting customer data throughout the payments process, while also working to drive considerable cost savings.”
