  • You can hear rhubarb grow! During a process known as ‘rhubarb forcing’, you can hear a cacophony of pops as it grows. You put the rhubarb into a dark shed, halting photosynthesis and essentially tricking the plant into thinking its spring. The rhubarb will grow unnaturally large and at fast speeds.
  • Swiss people are the biggest chocolate lovers in the world. On average, every person in Switzerland consumes 11kg/24lb of chocolate per year
  • As a banana consists to over 75% of water, bananas float if you put them in a bowl of water
  • Grapes will explode if you put them in the microwave
