The certification marks an important milestone for Green & Fortune, strengthening its position as one of the capital’s leading independent caterer, firmly grounded in responsible business practices.
Founded in 2008 by John Nugent and Peter Millican, Green & Fortune is a hospitality company, known for its ability to create unique culinary and cultural destinations within multi-format sites. Achievements include:
- Farming with Purpose: Use of its own farm in Northumberland, which supplies all beef and lamb to its flagship venues.
- Commitment to Community: The annual St Patrick’s Day fundraising event has raised more than £272,000 for charitable causes, including Hospitality Action and The London Irish Centre.
- London-First, London-Only: The supply chain is centred on London based suppliers, over 50% of whom are independent operators.
- Supporting People: Workers are paid above the London Living Wage since December 2021, consistently introducing wage increases ahead of Government timelines.
The accreditation supports what is an exciting chapter of growth for the hospitality firm with £20m+ revenue expected for 2026, up from £17.5m+ in 2024 and the upcoming opening of four new food and beverage concepts at London Museum later this year.
Emma Williams, director at Green & Fortune, said: “It is a marker in the sand for the way we have always chosen to do business - investing in our people, supporting our communities and taking responsibility for the impact we have as we grow. Becoming B Corp certified gives us a clear framework for accountability as we continue to scale, while staying true to our values.”
