Abstract
For every doughnut smile shared on social media using the hashtag #SmileForDonuts and tagging @DWBH_UK between May and 4 June, Donut Worry Be Happy donated the value of one doughnut to industry charity Hospitality Action.

Over the past year, Hospitality Action has helped hospitality households and communities in financial crisis. A £100 donation pays for new interview clothes and shoes to help hospitality people get back to work following redundancy.

Rebecca Dunning, trade marketing manager UK&I for La Lorraine Bakery Group, owner of Donut Worry Be Happy, said: “This has been a first for Donut Worry Be Happy and, we have raised £1,127.

“It has been a pleasure to be able to raise funds for a charity offering a crucial lifeline for hospitality workers who have been made redundant as a result of the pandemic. To do so with Donut Worry Be Happy doughnuts was fun and hopefully, put a smile on people’s faces, all in aid of a really important and serious cause.”
