NACC announces new ambassadors
Abstract
The National Association of Care Catering (NACC) has announced that Chris and Jayne Roberts, who spoke about dementia at the NACC Training & Development Forum 2016, have become ambassadors of the organisation.

The couple, from Ruddlan in North Wales, give regular talks on what it’s like to live with dementia and have featured in television programmes such as BBC Panorama.

Neel Radia, national chair of the NACC, said: “The couple are inspirational and their keynote speech was a highlight of our last Training & Development Forum.

“Their knowledge will be invaluable to us in understanding further how to cater for people with dementia, and their connections will also be most beneficial in helping us develop and share best practice and guidance in this area.”

Chris and Jayne are Dementia Friends champions, ambassadors for the Alzheimer’s Society, champions for Join Dementia Research, and members of the Dementia Policy Think Tank for DEEP.

They also contribute to many working and advisory groups for dementia related networks, including the Prime Minister’s Task and Finish Group for the 2020 dementia challenge, and are members of the European Working Group for People with Dementia.
