NACC plans to host 4 masterclasses at Training & Development Forum
Abstract
The National Association of Care Catering (NACC) has unveiled details about three of the four educational masterclasses that will take place at the Training & Development Forum this winter.

The masterclasses aim to bring together leading experts, real-world insight and practical strategies to help shape the future of care catering.

Designed to inspire, challenge and empower delegates, these specialist sessions will tackle some of the sector’s biggest priorities: nutrition, diabetes management and allergen safety.

The NACC Training and Development Forum has moved to a new venue for 2026. It will take place at Hilton at St George’s Park, Burton-on-Trent on 14th-15th October 2026.

Tanya Haffner will share how to successfully introduce balanced, resident-friendly plant-rich menus that align with BDA standards - with practical tips, menu inspiration and strategies to encourage healthier, more sustainable food choices. The session is titled ‘The case for plant-rich foods and how to get it right’.

Hotel services managers Andrew Mussett and Samuel Mort from Care UK will host a masterclass on ‘Managing blood sugars in care homes’. Drawing on frontline operational experience, they will share valuable insights into managing blood sugars through food service, menu planning and everyday best practice within care homes.

Tanya and Nadim Ednan-Laperouse, founders of the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, will deliver a masterclass titled ‘The future of food allergy safety’. This powerful and essential masterclass explores the impact of Natasha’s Law and the future of food allergy safety across the sector.

Following the tragic loss of their daughter Natasha, Tanya and Nadim Laperouse helped drive one of the most significant changes in UK food safety legislation. In their masterclass, they will share their story, sector insight and the ongoing work to improve allergen awareness, consistency and food safety standards.

Delegates will leave fully up to date on allergen safety, with greater confidence in embedding best practice across their organisations. A fourth masterclass is yet to be revealed. Register here for the 2026 NACC Training & Development Forum.
