Abstract
Andy Jones, chair of the PSC100 Group, has shared a thank you message that praised the work of charity Hospitality Action ahead of ‘Blue Monday’.

Jones said: “I really wanted to talk to you about a great charity [called] Hospitality Action. My goodness have we needed them over the last two years but they’ve always been there for us in industry. They’ve got a great strapline, three simple words: ‘we’ve got you’.

“They’ve got us when we need them. Some people will say they are too proud to approach them but please if you are in need approach them. The team at Hospitality Action are superb, many of us will know of them Mark [Lewis] and the team through the great work and events that we have been to.

“We need to help each other in our great industry. We are a family, we are a hospitality family and Hospitality Action are there for us.”

Hospitality Action was launched in 1837 and it aims to offer financial, physical or psychological support services to help people from hospitality get back on their feet.

Today (17 January 2022) is ‘Blue Monday’ which is supposed to be the ‘most depressing day of the year’ according to psychologist Cliff Arnall who coined the term in 2004.
