Abstract
Having unveiled its plans for the year ahead, hospitality provider Sodexo has promised that food is very much “at the heart” of its 2019 offering.

As catering partner and official hospitality provider at numerous venues across the UK, company highlights this year include:

  • February: New food and drink menus at IWM London, the National Gallery, Royal Academy and the Wallace Collection (operated by Peyton & Byrne, Sodexo’s London subsidiary)
  • February: Sodexo’s Glass Room restaurant (Victoria Embankment) is partnering with chocolatier Charbonnel & Walker to offer diners a Valentine’s ‘surprise’
  • March: announcing Christmas packages at St James’ Park, Goodison Park stadium and Royal Botanic Garden
  • May: opening its new conference suite at Emerald Headingley Stadium (Yorkshire) following £40m redevelopment.
  • Summer – partnering with chef Raymond Blanc to open a pop-up restaurant, Jardin Blanc, at RHS Chelsea Flower Show
  • Launching a continental menu at The National Café, in homage to its Gaugin Portraits exhibition
  • Christmas/NY: parties and Hogmanay celebrations with a roaring 20s theme, in aid of 2020

Venue and events marketing manager, Natasha Carr, said: “(Sodexo is) hugely fortunate to be partnered with some of the most special and unique venues and events in the UK, and 2019 looks set to be extra special in terms of opportunities.

“So whether businesses are bringing people together for work, pleasure or a combination of both, we are confident that we can make their event an occasion to remember.”
